IT Project Coordinator

Job Summary: 

The IT Project Coordinator is responsible to plan and organize selected IT projects and to act as liaison between the IT department and the business stakeholders.  On a day-to-day basis, the Project Coordinator will work closely with IT Managers and business project leaders to prepare and maintain comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets.  The coordinator will also manage project activities including budget reconciliations and status report preparation.  


  • Coordinating all processes and phases of the project management lifecycle
  • Executing implementation project plan and timelines with a heightened focus on timelines, accuracy and seamless communication
  • Enabling appropriate cross-functional team communications. Assist in planning activities to identify, mitigate, and manage risks and dependencies.
  • Monitoring day-to-day project health and ensure work is progressing as planned and within the budget
  • Adapt project plans to reflect changing priorities on a needed basis
  • Contributing to a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication
  • Providing input into process improvements
  • Escalating project issues to resolution
  • Maintaining detailed project documentation
  • Consolidating and regularly distributing overall project status reporting for key stakeholders
  • Participating in all status meetings to gather the minutes and then distribute accordingly
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders, aligning on content, etc.
  • Support the development and editing of internal communications as needed


  • University/College degree in business administration, management information systems or related field.
  • Two to three years of coordination experience with projects of varying complexity and moderate to high impact
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Excellent English written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, French is an asset
  • Effective project planning and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage dependencies and risk
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize assignments and meet time-sensitive demands
  • Proven analytical mindset with a fine attention to detail
  • Willingness to express opinions and give direction to others
  • Excellent attitude and strong stakeholder engagement orientation
  • Team player, creative, and highly organized
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech environment
  • JIRA experience is an asset
